Dry wall is up!

It's been a slow week of working on the dry wall. We were hoping they'd be done by today so we could paint tomorrow, but no such luck. Anyways, we're approaching the fun stuff! Paint and wood ceiling completed this week, floor stained and cupboards in next week and then we'll be ready to move in furniture. YEAH!

We know everyone is excited to see it and we're so excited to show it to you. More info to follow on an open house!

Something old, Something new

Although this building is very new, we didn't want to give up the great character of the old saw mill. Before it was torn down we took off some of the old barn siding, hoping to incorporate it into the new building . . . and we did! We ran out of soffet and the barn siding came in handy to finish off the porch. When the guys were putting it up they were sure to include pieces that had bird poop, knotted pieces, and other boards that are sure to add character. Don'tcha love it!

Can you feel the love?

I don't know if I've expressed how much time and energy my husband, Brandon has put into our new lodge. He's not only building this new "hang out" for him, but for us. I love him soooo much and I'm so proud of the hard worker that he is. He's making a commitment to our future, our family and to our home. It's truly a blessing that I get to spend each day with him . . . even if I don't get to see him all that often because he's working so late on the project! We're getting closer to finishing and I can't wait to enjoy a new "hide out" of our own.

CAUTION: Men At Work!

Ok, so some good progress has been made since I last posted. The guys have done the majority of the wiring, insulated and put up OSB to support all of those dead animals that Brandon plans to hang on the walls. Hopefully, dry wall next week.

I also made some good progress - shopping! Got all of the light fixtures last night, and some great decorative things that I can't wait to get in the room. We're in the need of a black gas stove, refridgerator, dishwasher and microwave if anyone has any of these items that they want to get rid of.
